Repainting an old piece 2012-2014

Wanted to revisit an old sketch i had.

First picture is october 2012 and my attempt to paint over the sketch.

next selection of pictures is january 2014

first is my rendition around 6 hours. literally im learning from scratch, as ive forgotten virtually how to paint.

second and third are working on the teeth and realising eyebrows dont work that way. getting the base coloured down, shading and detail before adjusting the colour to give it harmony.

last is starting on the horn. this is where ive paused work on this.
